Work At Home Inbound Call Centers

Work At Home Inbound Call Centers
By Seth Miller

Call centers have become an important aspect of any successful business. They fulfill the need for communication between a company and its customers. Businesses usually have their own in-house call centers, while others employ the services of other call center solutions companies.

Usually, call centers have outsourced their operations to other countries. But now, because of the advancements in call center technology and the widespread availability of broadband Internet, inbound call center agents can now work at home.

Employing the services of work-at-home inbound call center agents has many advantages. A minimized facilities cost is one of these benefits. You will not need to set up your own call center facility. Also, for the agents, a work-at-home setup offers many advantages, which you can also benefit from. Working at home is an attractive alternative, especially for high-quality people who would not otherwise be able to work at call centers because of obligations at home, such as child care responsibilities.

Many companies are now realizing that a work-at-home inbound call center may be able to handle customer service better than brick-and-mortar call centers. In fact, working at home is one of the biggest trends in the call center industry. At-home call center agents will not be restrained by geographic limitations. Another advantage of work-at-home call centers is that you can find client-specific skills sets faster than compared to a traditional call center.

Since your agents will be working at home, this leads to greater flexibility and lower costs. Of course, there are concerns of the quality of home-based call centers. But it is these same concerns that have ensured that at-home agents are supervised more and that their work quality is at par or even better than brick-and-mortar call centers. To learn more information about work-at-home inbound call centers, there are various resources you can check out online.

Keep Work and Home Separate in Your Work at Home Business

Keep Work and Home Separate in Your Work at Home Business
By Charles Fuchs

Working from home seems appealing to so many people, but knowing how to keep work and home separate can be a bigger challenge for some individuals. Now, many people start a work at home business mostly because they want flexibility in their own schedules. However, some people get lost in the passion for their new job and forget that they have to have a life, too. Other people just don’t think that they are doing a good job unless they work 18 hours a day. No matter what your philosophy is, it is important that you learn to keep work and home separate.

So what are some ways that help you keep work at home separate? First, you should confine your work at home business activities to one work room or space. By keeping your work confined to one room, you can shut the door and not look at it. If you don’t have an extra room, that is okay, you can get a screen or another way to put your work away when you are done for the day.

Also, you may want to consider getting a separate line for home versus work. You need to make sure you are not answering the phone for home and find a work call on the line. By having separate forms of communication you ensure that you keep work and home separate. Turn your home answering machine on while you are at work, since you should remain focused on your work at home business, and turn your work machine on at the end of the workday.

Establish a clear schedule or routine so that it is easier to keep work and home separate. This is where having your own work at home business is great, because your schedule does not have to be traditional. It just has to work so that your work time is for work and your home time can be devoted to home.

Another great way to make sure you keep work and home separate is to minimize distractions in your workspace. This also means using time management to make sure you are using the most of the time that you have. By improving your productivity, you will be able to feel more comfortable leaving your work in your work space to spend some quality time at home.

WAHI HYPE!

Is there really a work at home institute

“Today we will be studying about the different work at home projects… “ (as the teacher carefully pulls the syllabus). Wake up! Wake up! Was I dreaming? Oh, I thought I was at the “work at home institute.”

I believe there is a lot of search involved in work at home institutes, however I don’t feel the word “institute” would be proper. There are a lot of websites that enable you to find work at home jobs like telecommuting, customer service operators, etc… within a wide list of companies to choose from. But I don’t believe there is an “institute” quite dedicated to that itself. The “institute” IS your HOME. You ARE working from home – your institute right?

As I was researching for “work at home institutes”, I came across a website that I will not choose to mention. I was quite disappointed. I thought GREAT I actually found a “Work at Home Institute”. When I first opened the site, it asked for me some general information in order to get me on their list. You know “the List”. Well in order for me to proceed, I had to enter my information in order to gain FREE access into the site. After I painstackingly entered my information, it lead me to another bogus site. What came up was “Hey you can get paid to do surveys!!” Don’t get me wrong, it is an area that you can do from home and get some cash from it, but I wouldn’t recommend it. You have to really do a lot of LEGWORK in order to make this work. Hey I did try it myself, (however not from this site, but previously) and you know I did make $205 just by merely making a few political survey calls and WALLA, I submitted my results online and got paid. But if you were going to continue this line of work, make sure to get with reputable surveyors. There are professionals out there who can actually make a grand living. Other than that – stay away from it. My suggestion would be to do some research on telecommuting jobs. These jobs are real paid jobs with company benefits (For more information on who hires for these types of positions and what the companies are. Please visit my blog).

Anyway back to my experience and my research… I still quite could not find a “work at home institute” at least of any value. Again, the “institute” is your home and if that is where you would like to work from, and then get the REAL information about getting yourself established to work from home. Don’t waste your time going to some of these useless ongoing websites that lead you to nowhere but frustration. Do the research and find the opportunities that are legit and ready for you to make some good take home, and work at home income.

Perhaps I would have to do some more research on these institutes or maybe if you have some great insight on it, I would love to hear about it.
